Jubitite Floro Heavy-Duty Industrial Epoxy Flooring
Floro is the industrial-grade epoxy flooring system I specify when chemical resistance and load-bearing are non-negotiable. I first used it in 2018 for a battery recycling plant in Loni 2,500 sq.m exposed to sulphuric acid daily. Seven years later, that floor still passes the acid spot test. The formulation uses a 3:1 mix ratio with high cross-link density, which means it resists acids, alkalis, and solvents that would degrade standard epoxy coatings within months.
What is the difference between Jubitite Floro and Bondone Flowtop?
Flowtop is a self-levelling coating for warehouses and showrooms it looks good, levels itself, but has moderate chemical resistance. Floro is a high-build, heavy-duty industrial flooring system formulated for chemical plants, factories, and battery rooms. Floro uses a 3:1 mix ratio (Flowtop uses 2:1), has higher compressive strength, and withstands acid exposure that would blister Flowtop within weeks. For general commercial floors, Flowtop is the right choice. For industrial environments with chemical or heavy load requirements, specify Floro.
How much does Jubitite Floro cost for a factory floor?
Jubitite Floro is ?3,850 for a 7.5 kg kit (?513 per kg), covering approximately 22-30 sq.m at 2mm thickness. All prices include GST, delivered PAN India from Ghaziabad. UPI, bank transfer, or credit card invoice no COD. Need a larger quantity? WhatsApp me for bulk pricing.
What Is Jubitite Floro?
Jubitite Floro is a three-component, heavy-duty industrial epoxy flooring system designed for environments where standard floor coatings fail. It forms a dense, chemically resistant barrier that bonds aggressively to prepared concrete and withstands mechanical impact, thermal cycling, and chemical exposure.
The key difference from decorative or self-levelling epoxies is the formulation chemistry. Floro uses a higher molecular-weight epoxy resin with a specialised hardener that creates a tighter cross-link network. This translates to lower permeability acids and solvents cannot penetrate the film. I have specified it for pharmaceutical cleanrooms in Baddi, automotive paint shops in Manesar, and chemical storage facilities in Taloja. For general epoxy flooring needs, see our full epoxy resin selection range. Prices as of July 2026 include GST, shipped from our Ghaziabad warehouse PAN India.
Technical Specifications
Mix Ratio
3:1 by weight (Resin : Hardener). The higher hardener content creates a denser cross-link network for chemical resistance.
Pot Life
40-50 minutes at 25C. At 35C+, pot life drops to 25 minutes. Always mix in batches manageable for a 2-person crew.
Coverage
3-4 sq.m per kg at 2mm. Industrial floors require 2mm minimum thickness. A 7.5 kg kit covers 22-30 sq.m at 2mm.
Cure Schedule
Light foot traffic: 24 hours. Forklift traffic: 72 hours. Full chemical resistance: 7 days at 25C. Minimum 15C during cure.
Floro vs Flowtop vs Silcrete Which One for Your Floor?
| Feature | Floro | Flowtop | Silcrete |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best use | Chemical plants, factories, battery rooms | Warehouses, showrooms, garages | Pharma plants, solvent storage |
| Chemical resistance | High acids, alkalis, solvents | Moderate general spills | Very high pharma grade |
| Mix ratio | 3:1 | 2:1 | 2:1 |
| Pot life | 40-50 min | 30-40 min | 40-50 min |
| Coverage at 2mm | 3-4 sq.m/kg | 2-3 sq.m/kg | 3-4 sq.m/kg |
For standard commercial floors, use Flowtop. For pharma and solvent areas, go with Silcrete.
How to Apply Jubitite Floro
Industrial application is different from decorative floors. Here is the process I walk every contractor through:
- Concrete preparation: The substrate must be shot-blasted or scarified. A grinder is insufficient for industrial loads. Repair all cracks with epoxy mortar. Moisture content must be below 4%.
- Prime: Apply a full coat of Jubitite compatible primer. This seals the concrete and prevents out-gassing. Allow 12-24 hour cure.
- Mix: 3:1 ratio by weight. Mix with a low-speed drill (400-600 RPM) for 4 minutes. Transfer to a clean pail and mix for 1 more minute.
- Apply: Pour and spread with a notched trowel to achieve 2mm minimum thickness. Back-roll with a heavy-nap roller. Work in 15-minute sections.
- Cure: Keep cordoned off for 24 hours. No water exposure for 48 hours. Full service after 72 hours at 25C.
I provide a detailed application checklist with every Floro order. Ask on WhatsApp.

Jubitite Floro Frequently Asked Questions
What is the mix ratio of Jubitite Floro?
3:1 by weight (resin to hardener). Use a digital scale for accuracy incorrect ratios compromise chemical resistance.
What is the coverage per kg?
3-4 sq.m per kg at 2mm thickness. For thicker industrial applications, coverage reduces proportionally.
Is Floro resistant to chemicals?
Jubitite Floro is formulated for high chemical resistance to dilute acids, alkalis, and industrial solvents. It is used in battery rooms and chemical processing areas.
Can Floro withstand heavy vehicle traffic?
It is designed for heavy-duty industrial environments including pallet jacks, forklifts, and truck traffic in warehouses and factories.
What surface preparation is needed?
Concrete must be shot-blasted or scarified, cracks repaired, and primed with a Jubitite epoxy primer. Moisture content must be below 4%.
How long does Floro take to cure?
Light foot traffic after 24 hours, fork lift traffic after 72 hours. Full chemical resistance develops over 7 days at 25C.
Can Floro be applied over old Flowtop or epoxy floors?
Only if the existing coating is mechanically profiled and compatible. A bond test is recommended. Contact us for a technical assessment.
Is Floro suitable for food processing areas?
Once fully cured, Floro is inert and suitable for incidental food contact. For dedicated food processing zones, consult our technical team for grade-specific recommendations.
