Lapox Ultra — Professional Grade Epoxy Resin for Jewellery & Precision
Lapox Ultra is a structural epoxy adhesive — not a pouring resin. I sold 10 kg to a Jaipur jewellery workshop last month. They use it to set hundreds of stones each week. In six months, not a single customer return for a loose gem. The bond strength is min 120 kg/cm² on aluminium. That's why auto shops and jewellery manufacturers call me. If you're looking for a resin to pour into a mould for a river table, Ultra won't work — it's thick like peanut butter. But if you need to bond metal, ceramic, stone, or electrical components permanently, this is the real deal. 1.8 kg kit at ₹1,586.
What is Lapox Ultra?
Lapox Ultra is a two-component, high-viscosity epoxy adhesive from Atul Ltd. It bonds surfaces — you apply it with a spatula or brush during its working time. It's not for pouring into moulds. The consistency is thick (28,000–42,000 mPas), so it stays exactly where you put it, making it ideal for vertical surfaces, gap filling, and precision work.
The 100:80 mix ratio (resin:hardener by weight) gives a pot life of 75–90 minutes at 25°C. Once applied and clamped, it cures at room temperature — surface dry in about 2 hours, hard dry in ~9 hours, and fully cured in 24 hours. For faster cure, you can warm it to 40–60°C.
The bond strength is minimum 120 kg/cm² on aluminium — numbers that matter in engineering and jewellery stone fixing where a failure means a rejected piece or a safety hazard.

The 100:80 Mix Ratio — for Bonding, Not Pouring
The ratio is simple: 100 grams of resin + 80 grams of hardener = 180 grams of adhesive. Use a digital scale — this is non-negotiable. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes, scrape the sides. Then apply with a spatula or brush onto one of the surfaces you're bonding, press the parts together, and clamp or hold in place. No vacuum degassing needed — the thick paste won't trap bubbles like a thin pouring resin.
Work within the 75–90 minute pot life. If you need more time, work in smaller batches. The adhesive is forgiving as long as you respect the ratio and apply it before it thickens.
Best Uses for Lapox Ultra
Jewellery Stone Fixing
Setting stones in artificial jewellery, bonding metal findings, securing gems without fear of loosening. Ultra's high bond strength and water resistance make it a go-to for professional jewellers.
Automobile & Engineering Components
Bonding panels, brackets, sensors, and structural parts that face vibration and temperature changes. Thermally stable and mechanically strong.
Ceramics & Construction
Tile repair, stone bonding, ceramic assembly, and construction joints. Works on vertical surfaces without sagging, even on porous materials.
Electrical & Electronics
Potting and bonding electrical components. Excellent insulation properties and resistance to moisture and chemicals make it suitable for long-term reliability.

Lapox Ultra vs Clear Cast — they're different products
I often get asked if Ultra can replace a casting resin for river tables or art. The answer is no. Ultra is an adhesive — thick, structural, designed to bond surfaces. Clear Cast is a clear, low-viscosity resin made for pouring deep layers. They serve completely different purposes.
If you need a strong, reliable bond for jewellery stone setting, automotive parts, ceramics, or electrical components, Ultra is your product. For large clear castings, use the appropriate pouring resin. And if you're working on metal‑to‑metal bonding and need a system that cures fast, check Lapox Metalam System B — it's another adhesive in our range, optimised for metal repair and die casting.
Delivery, Returns & Real Support
Ultra is a professional adhesive ordered by workshops and studios who depend on a reliable supply. I dispatch within 24 hours from my warehouse in Karhera, Ghaziabad. Metro delivery in 2–4 business days, rest of India in 4–7. Each kit is packed securely — I double‑bubble‑wrap because I know a damaged hardener bottle can halt production for a jeweller or an auto shop.
Unopened kits can be returned within 7 days. If something arrives damaged, I replace it immediately. No long‑winded claims — just a straight replacement.
Lapox Ultra — Real questions I get
What does 100:80 mix ratio mean?
100g resin + 80g hardener = 180g usable adhesive. Use a digital scale, never guess.
Is Lapox Ultra UV resistant?
It has good resistance to UV exposure once cured, but for prolonged outdoor use, a protective coating helps maintain the bond area's aesthetics.
Can I use a torch to remove bubbles?
No need. Ultra is a high-viscosity adhesive, not a thin pour resin. Bubbles are rarely a concern. Apply with a spatula or brush; the thick consistency doesn't trap air like a liquid resin.
What's the cure time?
Surface dry in ~2 hours, touch dry in ~5 hours, hard dry in ~9 hours, full cure in 24 hours at 25°C. Warming to 40–60°C speeds up the process.
Do you sell smaller kits?
No. 1.8kg is the smallest. It's enough for hundreds of jewellery stone settings or multiple repair jobs.
Is Ultra food-safe after curing?
Not certified food-safe. For food-contact applications, consult Atul's technical datasheet.
How do I polish Ultra?
Ultra is an adhesive, not a coating. Once cured, the bonded surfaces are permanent. For finishing bonded jewellery, polish the substrate material itself, not the adhesive joint.
Can I return if I don't like it?
Unopened kits can be returned within 7 days. I test every return before refund.
