Structural Adhesive · Lapox · 1.8 kg

Lapox Ultra — 120 kg/cm² of bond strength for metal, stone, and ceramics.

Lapox Ultra is a structural epoxy adhesive — not a pouring resin. Si Epoxy supplies 10 kg to a Jaipur jewellery workshop every quarter; they set hundreds of stones each week with zero loose-gem returns in six months. Minimum 120 kg/cm² lap shear on aluminium, 100:80 mix by weight, 75–90 minutes of pot life. It bonds metal, ceramic, stone, and electrical components permanently. As of September 2026, a 1.8 kg kit is ₹1,598 incl GST from our Ghaziabad warehouse.

Which Project Should You Use Lapox Ultra For?

Ultra is for bonding, not pouring. If you need a permanent structural joint, it is the right tool. If you need to cast a thick clear pour, you need a casting resin.

06Quick Answer

Straight Answers

How much does Lapox Ultra cost?

1,598 for a 1.8 kg kit — about ₹888 per kg — with the price valid until March 31, 2027. PAN India shipping from our Ghaziabad warehouse, GST invoice included.

How strong is the bond?

120 kg/cm² minimum lap shear on aluminium after a 24-hour cure — stronger than most structural epoxies at this price point. The joint often outlasts the parts being bonded.

Can I use Ultra on vertical surfaces?

Yes. At 28,000–42,000 mPas viscosity it stays exactly where you apply it. No sagging, no drips, even on walls and vertical panels. Apply with a spatula and it holds in place during cure.

Is Lapox Ultra or Lapox Fillo better for a metal repair?

Yes, for load-bearing metal-to-metal bonds use Lapox Ultra (120 kg/cm² lap shear, hard cure). For filling dents, chips, or gaps before painting, use Lapox Fillo (₹835 / 1.8 kg, 100:80) because it is a non-sag thixotropic putty. Many fabricators use Ultra to bond a bracket and Fillo to smooth the joint after.

How much does it cost to bond metal with Lapox Ultra?

A 1.8 kg kit is ₹1,598 (≈₹888/kg, valid until March 31, 2027). One kit bonds hundreds of small repairs or dozens of brackets; at 100:80 that works out to roughly ₹8–₹15 per structural joint depending on size, delivered from the Ghaziabad warehouse with a GST invoice.

08FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

In 8+ years of supplying Lapox epoxies to fabricators across India, we process 1000+ orders every month - Ultra is the slow-cure clear we recommend for deep pours.

What does 100:80 mix ratio mean?

100 g resin + 80 g hardener = 180 g usable adhesive. Use a digital scale, never guess.

Is Lapox Ultra UV resistant?

It has good resistance to UV exposure once cured, but for prolonged outdoor use, a protective coating helps maintain the bond area's aesthetics.

Can I use a torch to remove bubbles?

No need. Ultra is a high-viscosity adhesive, not a thin pour resin. Bubbles are rarely a concern. Apply with a spatula or brush; the thick consistency doesn't trap air like a liquid resin.

What's the cure time?

Surface dry in ~2 hours, touch dry in ~5 hours, hard dry in ~9 hours, full cure in 24 hours at 25°C. Warming to 40–60°C speeds up the process.

Do you sell smaller kits?

We stock the 1.8 kg kit. It's enough for hundreds of jewellery stone settings or multiple repair jobs. Contact us for stock availability.

Is Ultra food-safe after curing?

Yes — Lapox Ultra is food-safe once fully cured (24 hours at 25°C). It is used for food-contact applications where a permanent, non-toxic bond is required. Always ensure full cure before food contact.

How do I polish Ultra?

Ultra is an adhesive, not a coating. Once cured, the bonded surfaces are permanent. For finishing bonded jewellery, polish the substrate material itself, not the adhesive joint.

Can I use Ultra on vertical surfaces?

Yes — that's a key advantage. With 28,000–42,000 mPas viscosity, Ultra stays exactly where you apply it. No sagging, no drips. Apply with a spatula and it holds in place during cure.
