Bondone Cleartite — Clear Epoxy Adhesive for Jewellery Lamination, Zari Fixing & Decorative Arts
Cleartite is a high-viscosity clear epoxy from DCM Shriram's Bondone range, formulated specifically for applications where clarity, strength, and water resistance matter. It is widely used in jewellery lamination, jewel stone fixing, zari (metallic thread) fixing in textiles, textile reed repair, decorative arts, and paint roller manufacturing. What sets it apart is the 100:100 mix ratio — equal parts resin and hardener, making it one of the easiest epoxies to measure accurately. It cures to a crystal-clear transparent film with a bond strength of 120 kg/cm² — among the highest in the Bondone adhesive range. The 2 kg kit is ₹944 from our Ghaziabad warehouse as of July 2026.
Bondone Cleartite — Key Facts at a Glance
How much does Bondone Cleartite cost?
₹944 per 2 kg kit (₹472 per kg). Equal-part 100:100 mix ratio makes measuring simple. PAN India shipping from Ghaziabad.
What makes Cleartite different from other clear epoxies?
100:100 mix ratio and 120 kg/cm² bond strength. Most clear epoxies use uneven ratios like 3:1 or 2:1. Cleartite's equal-part mix eliminates measuring errors. And at 120 kg/cm², it's one of the strongest Bondone adhesives available.
What Is Bondone Cleartite?
Bondone Cleartite is a two-component, high-viscosity, modified epoxy adhesive system manufactured by Hindusthan Speciality Chemicals Ltd (DCM Shriram Group). It belongs to the Bondone range of industrial adhesives and is specially formulated for applications requiring a clear, strong, water-resistant bond.
The defining characteristic of Cleartite is its 100:100 mix ratio — equal parts resin and hardener by weight. This is deliberately designed for applications where quick, accurate mixing is critical. The high viscosity (35,000-40,000 mPa·s) means the adhesive stays where you put it — it won't run or drip, making it ideal for vertical lamination and precision jewellery work. It cures to a transparent film that resists water and mild chemicals, and achieves a bond strength of 120 kg/cm² within 24 hours.

Best Applications
Jewellery Lamination
Used for laminating and coating jewellery items. The clear transparent film enhances appearance while the high bond strength ensures durability. Ideal for artificial jewellery and fashion accessories.
Jewel Stone Fixing
Securely bonds gemstones, rhinestones, and decorative stones to metal and other substrates. The high viscosity prevents the adhesive from running during positioning.
Zari Fixing in Textiles
Used in textile manufacturing to fix zari (metallic thread) and decorative elements. Water and chemical resistance ensures the bond survives washing and handling.
Decorative Arts & Paint Rollers
Applied in decorative arts, textile reed repair, and paint roller manufacturing where a clear, strong, water-resistant adhesive bond is required.
How to Use Bondone Cleartite
1. Surface preparation: The application surface must be clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, grease, and other contaminants.
2. Mixing: Weigh resin and hardener at 100:100 by weight — equal parts. Mix thoroughly until a uniform homogeneous mixture is formed. The high viscosity requires thorough mixing; scrape sides and bottom of the container.
3. Application: Apply properly on the substrate. The high viscosity (35,000-40,000 mPa·s) allows the adhesive to stay in place on vertical surfaces. For glass substrates, give an induction time of 2-5 minutes before application.
4. Curing: Allow to dry for 8-9 hours to get proper finish. Full strength (120 kg/cm²) will be achieved in 24 hours. Note: below 15°C, drying slows significantly and may result in poor finish — warm resin and hardener prior to application up to 40°C in cold conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Bondone Cleartite used for?
Bondone Cleartite is a high-viscosity clear epoxy adhesive used for jewellery lamination, jewel stone fixing, zari fixing in textiles, textile reed repair, decorative arts, and paint roller manufacturing. It forms a clear transparent film with excellent water and chemical resistance.
What is the mix ratio of Cleartite?
The mix ratio is 100:100 by weight (Resin : Hardener) — equal parts. This is unusual for epoxies and makes measuring straightforward. Use a digital scale for accuracy.
What is the pot life of Bondone Cleartite?
Pot life is 65-80 minutes at 25°C for a 100g mass. Below 15°C, it will take longer to dry and may give poor finish — in that case, warm resin and hardener prior to application up to 40°C.
Is Cleartite clear?
Yes. Cleartite cures to a clear transparent film, making it ideal for jewellery and decorative applications where appearance matters. It also offers water and chemical resistance.
What is the viscosity of Cleartite?
Cleartite has a high mix viscosity of 35,000-40,000 mPa·s at 25°C. This high viscosity makes it suitable for vertical applications and lamination where the adhesive needs to stay in place without running.
What is the price of Bondone Cleartite?
The 2kg kit of Bondone Cleartite is priced at ₹944 (₹472 per kg). Contact us on WhatsApp at +91 8595955752 for stock availability.
What bond strength does Cleartite achieve?
Bondone Cleartite achieves a minimum bond strength of 120 kg/cm² at 25°C after 24 hours of cure — one of the highest in the Bondone adhesive range.
