Epoxy Resin Adhesive Price in India 2026 — Complete Buyer's Guide

📖 7 min read 🗓 March 2026 ✅ Updated 📍 Pan-India

Planning to buy epoxy adhesive in India but confused about prices, brands and which one to pick? This guide covers everything — from price per kg to the best product for your specific job, whether it's bonding metal, glass, wood, ceramic or jewellery.

What Is Epoxy Resin Adhesive?

Epoxy resin adhesive is a two-component bonding system — a resin and a hardener that you mix together to create an extremely strong, permanent bond. Unlike single-component glues like Fevicol or cyanoacrylate (Superglue), epoxy adhesives bond to almost any surface: metals, glass, ceramics, concrete, wood, laminates and plastics.

Once cured, a good epoxy adhesive is waterproof, chemical-resistant and can handle significant mechanical stress. For industrial, craft and professional use in India, two-component epoxy is the gold standard.

Quick answer: Epoxy resin adhesive in India is priced between ₹673 and ₹1325 for standard 1.2–1.8kg sets, depending on the brand and formulation. Industrial-grade adhesives like Lapox Ultra cost more but offer significantly higher bond strength.

Epoxy Adhesive vs Fevicol vs Araldite — What's the Difference?

This is one of the most common questions we get. Here's the honest breakdown:

Fevicol is a PVA-based woodworking adhesive. It's great for porous surfaces like wood to wood but has very low strength on non-porous surfaces like metal or glass. It's also not waterproof once cured.

Araldite is technically a two-component epoxy (made by Huntsman), but the small consumer tubes available in India are formulated for light-duty repair work — not industrial bonding. Pot life and bond strength are limited.

Lapox Ultra and Metalam System B are industrial-grade two-component epoxy adhesives. They offer structural bond strength on metal, glass, ceramics, composites and wood that consumer adhesives simply cannot match. For any professional or semi-professional application, there's no comparison.

Rule of thumb: If the joint needs to handle mechanical stress, vibration, temperature changes or moisture — use a proper two-component epoxy adhesive. If it's light decorative bonding on porous surfaces, Fevicol works. For everything else, Lapox Ultra or Metalam System B is the right call.

How to Calculate How Much Epoxy Adhesive You Need

Epoxy adhesives are applied in thin layers compared to casting resins. A 1.8kg set of Lapox Ultra will cover a large number of bond joints — for most craft and light industrial users, one set will last several months of regular use.

For large-scale industrial bonding (fabrication shops, furniture manufacturing, composite repair), you'll want to consider bulk pricing. Contact us via WhatsApp for bulk or repeat-order pricing.

Tips for Getting the Best Results from Epoxy Adhesive

1. Surface Preparation is Everything

No epoxy adhesive — regardless of brand — will bond well to a dirty, oily or dusty surface. Always clean the surfaces with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or acetone before applying. For metals, light sanding with 80–120 grit also helps by increasing surface area.

2. Mix the Ratio Correctly

Two-component epoxies only cure properly when mixed at the correct ratio. Lapox Ultra uses a 100:80 ratio (resin:hardener by weight). Metalam System B uses 2:1. Always use a weighing scale for precision — especially for larger quantities.

3. Temperature Matters

Epoxy adhesives cure faster in warm conditions and slower in cold ones. In Indian summers, pot life will be shorter — work quickly after mixing. In winter or air-conditioned environments, give the joint more time to cure before applying load.

4. Apply Clamping Pressure Where Possible

For structural bonds, applying clamping pressure while the adhesive cures significantly improves final bond strength. Even a few clamps or rubber bands for 2–4 hours can make a noticeable difference.

5. Don't Overuse It

A thin, even layer of epoxy adhesive is almost always stronger than a thick one. Excess adhesive squeezing out of a joint is actually a good sign — it means you've used enough and the joint is making full contact.
