Store in the unopened container in a dry location. The optimum storage temperature is 2°C to 8°C (refrigerated). Storage below 2°C or above 8°C can adversely affect product properties. Do not return used product to the original container.

Where should I not use Loctite 406?

It is not recommended for use in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, and should not be used as a sealant for chlorine or strong oxidizing products. Parts should be cleaned first for the strongest bond.

How do I get the best bond strength from Loctite 406?

Clean both surfaces with a Loctite solvent or degreaser, keep bond lines thin, keep relative humidity at 40–60% at 22°C, hold or clamp the parts until fixtured, and allow 24–72 hours for full cure. Loctite 770 primer helps on low-energy plastics.
